HO Model, Yard Area and Rolling Stock Develops, January, 2002
Development of the structures in the yard progresses even as work on the ground surfaces continues. Note also that Santa Maria Valley Railroad (SMVRR) rolling stock is being acquired. Tank cars (foreground train) and sugar beet gondolas (brown car beyond the second tank car) played large roles in the history of the SMVRR. A mikado (2-8-2) sits in front of the enginehouse.
