Denver and Rio Grande Western (D&RGW) Coach No. 668
This dilapidated railroad passenger day coach sits today out near the old sugar refinery at Betteravia. It was last used by the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad, whose markings are still readable. It apparently was obtained and moved to this site for the Betteravia Historical Society (now defunct) which intended to make it the home of their museum - the Railcar Museum. The white stair case (picture below left) marks the beginnings of that effort.
The coach is complete, but as can be seen, in poor condition. It is a wood-framed coach, and would have to be rebuilt onto a steel frame if it's ever to see service again. At the moment, it is simply resting on the trucks (not attached in a serviceable manner).
