 SMVRHM members and friends enjoy each other and the displays in the case room of the Museum.  The case room also has a wall of pictures down through the years of railroading in this valley. And this evening, this was the buffet room, too!  The train is just leaving the downtown yard section of the HO layout and swinging around into a generic agricultural area.  Whenever the Museum is open, this TV runs railroading videos of all types that people genuinely enjoy watching.  It was a fun night for scheming and dreaming about Museum prospects.  |
Annual Member Meeting at the MuseumFebruary 5, 2004A good turnout of members at the Annual Member Meeting elected five new people to the Santa Maria Valley Railway Historical Museum's (SMVRHM's) Board of Directors: Rob Himoto, Barron Smith, Chuck O’Hern, Gary Van Aken, and Wayne Petersen. Congratulations! Join the Museum! Application.  Several SMVRHM members chat over the Guadalupe exchange portion of the HO model. And speaking of model trains, don't miss the big Prototype Modelers Meet (aka "Train Show") that the SMVRHM is hosting here at the Mall on February 21 and 22. It's free to the public. This event will be held in a different space here in the Santa Maria Town Center Mall, across from Gottschalks on the 2nd floor.  Now that the Holiday Lionel Display is down, the velocipede has been moved to the front window.  More kibbitzing over the Guadalupe exchange.  These folks gather around the front counter.  |
